“Totenlieder” was supposed to be the first proper full-length album in the era of DMD and JFN, after “Facta Loquuntur” remained incomplete (the missing songs were only recorded and released for “Werwolfthron”) and “Asgardsrei” was planned as an EP instead of an album. However, when this album was recorded and released by Wolf and Unhold, it no longer had much in common with our original vision. But that was not a disadvantage, as “Totenlieder,” in the form it finally appeared, corresponded to Absurd’s self-understanding at the time as a pagan-Germanic black metal band.
Now, more than 20 years after its original release, we present “Totenlieder” as a deluxe picture LP (with poster); it has also been reissued as a jewel case CD. Both formats are now available.
